fall pallet...I am loving this one. Already have a bunch of scarfs made up in this. Might be my favorite so far.

Another possible fall pallet... I have a few made up in this one too but am still on the fence about it.

Studio - Orchid Flower Garland

Over the labor holiday weekend, one of my good friends younger brother got married. His bride really wanted flower garlands to hang around the Gazebo they were getting married under in her wedding colors of pink, yellow, and white.

So I took a break from all the bags and jewelry and put these together for her.

I laid the flowers out in the order I wanted to put them on the strings first, and it took up almost my entire work space. Which look so pretty and delicate I couldnt resist snapping a few pictures of them.

I made the bride a cute little pouch in hand dyed natural canvas with some old crocheted lace from my grandmothers collection along the front. I also painted her wedding date on the internet back wall. I thought it went with the "Something Old, and something Blue" Theme nicely.

Fall Preview - Sailor Knot Cuff

I've been playing with dyeing sailor knot cuffs lately to use as accent on handbags and scarfs. The dye doesn't take quite as well as with cotton fabrics but it gives the cording a muted washed look.

Some pretty Fine Twine

Ok... so I may have gone a bit overboard on twine last week. But, I have always loved bakers twine and the vast amounts of colors it comes in. Its a little bit vintage and a little bit preppy and a whole lot of fun.

I always wrap my packages with a piece of ribbon when they get shipped out, and I have been running low lately and I thought why not start to use brightly colored twine.

Divine twine and The Twinery have a nice selection... but at $15 for 240 yards I thought that seemed expensive.

I thought surely I could find a distributor that sold the real deal to bakery's for cheaper, sure enough I did. We Sell Coffee had 3400 yard cones for 9.95!! They didnt have nearly as many colors... But im pretty pleased with the colors I got. (Which was almost all the colors they offered)

So it looks like I now have a life time supply of twine....

Do you think my other treads are feeling dwarfed by the twine?

Tuesdays studio peak

Ive been spending a lot of time mixing new colors for for a new accessory project Im working on right now, which I hope to have up by the end of august. Here's a look of one of the ombre effect scarfs im playing with now. It fades from Dark teal to Dark green and has 12 blended colors from one end to the other.

Here's the inspiration for this colorway... aren't those amazing colors?
